| Rico Garcia |
| As a child growing up on the small San Manuel Indian Reservation in southern California, Rico Garcia was known an extremely creative child. Now at age twenty-four, this native american artist is know for his dramatic abstract canvases. As a painter, Rico puts on canvas what he sees and feels as he listens to various formes of music. He is a conduit, translating the audible into color texture, and movement for the eye to see, the mind to comprehend, and the heart to feel. Created with energetic brushstrokes and a bold fearless use of color, each piece has a life of its own, evoking a vast landscape of emotions and moods. In 2003, at the age of twenty-two, Rico exhibited his work at the Urban Earth Gallery in Corona Del Mar, California. Seventeen of his eminently original works were sold in just six months. Aside from being an artist, Rico is an avid reader and passionate collector of Chicano, Latin American and contemporary art. He has recently created the Wildgift Movement for Emerging Artists, a private sponsorship program as a means to help artist develop and promote themselves. www.ricogarciafineart.com rico@ricogarciafineart.com 949 933 9395 |
